Hash-Brown Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
    1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
    10 oz. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    2 c. crushed corn flakes
    1/4 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Defrost hash browns and combine in a large mixing bowl with 1/2 cup butter.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Add onion, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup and grated cheese.
    Blend ingredients well.
