Italian Beef - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 lb. top round roast
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 c. water
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp. ground pepper
1/8 tsp. garlic salt
cornstarch
Preparation

Place meat in roasting pan.
Combine all other ingredients. Heat and pour over meat.
Cover, bake at 350\u00b0 for 3 to 3 1/2 hours or until tender.
Turn often to baste.
Cool.
Remove from meat juice, slice meat very thin.
Add cornstarch to meat juice to make thin gravy.
Return meat to gravy, keep warm.
Serve on split hard rolls.
