Granola Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 cup margarine
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup brown sugar
4 cups quick oatmeal
1 package 6-oz chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Preparation

Melt margarine in large pan.
Add syrup, salt, vanilla, sugar and oatmeal.
Mix well.
With damp spatula, press mixture into well greased 15 1/2 by 10 1/2-inch (jelly roll pan).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
During the last 2 minutes of baking time, sprinkle on the chocolate chips.
When they soften take pan from oven and spread chips evenly on top.
Sprinkle with nuts.
Cut into squares while warm.
Recut when cool.
