Fried Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2/3 c. milk
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil, shortening or cooking oil (for deep-fat frying)
    4 medium mild yellow or white onions, sliced 1/4-inch thick
Preparation
    In a bowl combine flour, milk, egg, the 1 tablespoon oil and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Beat with a rotary beater just until smooth.
