Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Add sifted dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Last, add 1 cup boiling water.
    Mix well again.
    Pour into 8 x 8-inch square pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
