Ingredients

1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. vinegar
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Blend dry ingredients, add vinegar and mix to a smooth paste. Cook 5 minutes.
Add salt, pepper and sliced beets.
Simmer over low heat.
Add butter.
Serve hot.
