Country-Fried Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. bacon fat
1 medium head cabbage, shredded
salt and pepper
1 tsp. sugar
1 medium onion
Preparation

Heat bacon fat in 10-inch iron skillet.
Add shredded cabbage. Cook over low heat.
Stir frequently until lightly browned. Cover and cook, stirring, until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and sugar.
Add sliced onion, if desired.
Simmer until onion is sauteed.
Serve hot with hot-water cornbread or crackling bread.
