Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 c. rolled oats
    1/2 c. soft, solid shortening
    6 Tbsp. molasses
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, soda and sugar into a large bowl.
    Add eggs, shortening (at room temperature), molasses and vanilla.
    With a wooden spoon, stir until smooth about 1 1/2 minutes.
    Add chocolate chips and oatmeal; stir until it is blended evenly.
    Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls and 4 inches apart on a greased baking sheet.
    Bake in a preheated 325\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Cool on a wire rack.
    Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
