Pecan Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. butter (softened)
    1 c. sugar
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 c. pecans (chopped)
Preparation
    Using electric mixer, in large bowl, beat butter at medium speed until creamy. At low speed, beat in sugar, then flour. Do not overbeat. Stir in pecans by hand. Press dough evenly in ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 40 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool and cut into 1 1/2 inch squares.
