Gorton - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. ground pork butts
    3 diced onions
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/3 tsp. cinnamon
    1/3 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. allspice
Preparation
    In pot, combine meat and onions.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
    Cover meat with water; heat to boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer slowly for three hours; turn heat off.
    Remove excess fat from pot with ladle.
    Leave enough liquid so meat will not be dry. Add cloves, cinnamon, ginger and allspice; mix well.
    Makes great pork pies or turkey stuffing.
