Fettuccine Alfredo, The Lighter Side - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. butter or margarine, melted
    2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 c. half and half
    1 1/2 c. skim or 1% milk
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. white pepper
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    12 oz. pkg. fettuccine
    2 Tbsp. chopped flat leaf parsley
    grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In a small heavy saucepan, saute garlic in the butter.
    Mix together half and half, milk, cornstarch, salt and pepper.
    Add milk mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat until it begins to boil.
    Cook 2 to 3 minutes longer until mixture thickens.
