Challah - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    2 1/2 c. warm water
    6 tsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. vegetable oil
    4 eggs
    9 c. flour (as needed)
    1 egg yolk and 1 tsp. water
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl. Add sugar, salt, oil, eggs and approximately 6 cups flour. Beat thoroughly. Add more flour. Turn onto floured surface and knead adding more flour as needed. Place in greased covered bowl until tripled or 1 1/2 hours. Divide into thirds.
    Divide each third again into thirds and shape into 3 ropes.
    Braid ropes together. Let rise on cookie sheets until triple. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with poppy seed.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or golden brown.
