Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Mix shortening, eggs and sugar.
    Add flour.
    Blend all dry ingredients; stir in.
    Roll into balls
    the size of small walnuts.
    Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
    These cookies puff at first, then flatten.
