Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. whole bran cereal
1 c. buttermilk
1 egg
1/4 c. cooking oil (canola)
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. raisins
Preparation

Grease 10 to 12 muffin cups; set aside.
Combine bran and buttermilk; let stand 3 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
Stir in egg and oil or melted shortening.
Set aside.
Stir together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Add bran mixture all at once, stirring until moistened (batter will be thick); add raisins.
Bake in 400\u00b0 oven 20 to 25 minutes.
Makes 10 to 12 muffins.
