Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pt. fresh or frozen strawberries
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
3 Tbsp. strawberry gelatin
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
red food coloring
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 baked and cooled pie shell (9-inch size)
Preparation

Cut 1/2 of berries.
Mix with sugar and water and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat in heavy saucepan until glossy.
Stir often. Add gelatin, extract, lemon juice and food coloring.
Bring just to a boil; stir well.
Remove from heat and partially cool.
Have other half berries drained.
Arrange in pie shell.
Pour mixture over berries and refrigerate.
Top with Cool Whip or whipped cream.
