Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    3 eggs, separated
Preparation
    Scald milk; add cornmeal and cook until thick.
    Add salt, baking powder, sugar and butter.
    Beat the egg yolks and add to the cornmeal mixture.
    Beat the egg whites to a soft peak and fold into batter.
    Pour into a well buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole and bake uncovered in a 375\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
