Cranberry Bread(Christmas Bread) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
1/2 c. orange juice
2 Tbsp. hot water
1/2 tsp. grated orange rind or bottled orange peel
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. cranberries, halved
Preparation

Sift together the first 5 ingredients.
Add without stirring the beaten egg, shortening, orange juice and hot water.
Combine only until dry ingredients are moistened.
Fold in the orange rind, chopped nuts and cranberries.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for about an hour.
Cool.
Wrap in aluminum foil and freeze.
