Fried Cheese Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. Mozzarella or Fontina cheese
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 beaten egg
    1/2 c. fine dry Italian seasoned bread crumbs
    cooking oil or shortening for deep-fat frying
    purchased spaghetti or marinara sauce (optional)
Preparation
    Cut cheese into 2 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2-inch sticks.
    Roll cheese sticks in flour to coat.
    Dip in beaten egg and roll in bread crumbs, making sure cheese is completely coated with crumbs. Chill for 2 to 4 hours or until coating is set.
