Baked Cheese Grits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. grits (not instant)
2 c. water
1 c. milk
1 c. New York sharp cheese
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
several drops of Tabasco sauce
Preparation

Cook the grits in water, milk and salt.
When thick, remove from the heat.
Add the cheese, butter and Tabasco.
Beat the eggs and gradually add the hot grits.
Pour in a 1 1/2-quart greased casserole dish.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until top is brown (can be fixed 24 hours ahead and brought to room temperature before baking).
