Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 round steak
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 or 4 potatoes
    4 carrots or 1 can sliced carrots
    flour
    about 1/4 c. oil
Preparation
    Cut steak into small cubes.
    Flour and brown in large boiler in about 1/4 cup oil.
    Add a small amount of flour to absorb the remaining oil; brown.
    Then add enough water to fill boiler half full; add potatoes, chopped onion and sliced carrots.
    Cook slow for 2 hours or until meat and potatoes are tender.
    Add water whenever needed.
