Scalloped Potatoes With Ham - cooking recipe

6 medium size potatoes
4 Tbsp. butter
4 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. grated American cheese
2 c. finely cubed ham
dash of pepper
Preparation

Peel potatoes and slice medium thin.
Melt butter on high heat.
Stir in flour and seasoning.
Add cold milk, then cook on medium until sauce begins to thicken.
Turn to low and stir occasionally until sauce is thick.
Then stir in cheese.
In 3-quart casserole, alternate layers of potatoes and ham.
Pour sauce over this and bake, uncovered, for 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 375\u00b0.
