Boeuf Bourguignonne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 strips bacon, pieced
    1 (10 oz.) can beef broth
    3 lb. chuck beef, cubed
    1 1/2 c. red wine
    1 carrot, sliced
    1 onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 bay leaf
    1 Tbsp. catsup
    3 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Brown bacon and beef; season with 1 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper; stir in flour.
    Cook in crock-pot for 8 to 10 hours.
    Cream 1/4 c. flour and water for thickening.
    Serve over pasta.
