Fancy Eggnog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 egg yolks
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 pt. rye or bourbon whiskey
    1 qt. heavy cream
    10 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    ground nutmeg
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks and sugar.
    Add whiskey slowly, stirring constantly.
    Continue stirring and add cream, then stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Chill and top each serving with nutmeg.
    Yield: 20 to 25 servings.
