Crab Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. crab meat
    8 slices bread
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 green pepper, diced
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    3 c. milk
    1 can cream of mushroom soup (10 1/2 oz.)
    1/2 c. shredded cheese
Preparation
    Dice half the bread in a large buttered casserole. Combine crab, mayonnaise, celery, green pepper, onion and salt.
    Spread over the diced bread.
    Spread remaining diced bread over crab mixture. Combine eggs and milk and pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Remove from oven and spread undiluted mushroom soup over top. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Return to oven and bake 1 hour longer.
    Yields 10 servings.
