Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium red cabbage, sliced slaw style
    1 apple, quartered (not peeled)
    1/2 lemon
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 bay leaves
    1/4 c. wine vinegar
    salt and pepper to taste
    3 cloves
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    4 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation
    Saute cabbage in margarine, salt and pepper, onion, apple, juice of lemon and lemon peeling (remove before serving).
    Add 1 cup water and simmer 30 minutes.
    Add vinegar, bay leaves and cloves.
    Simmer 10 minutes (low flame).
    You may add bouillon cube. Delicious with pork roast.
