Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Mix flour, salt, baking powder and shortening.
    Add water or chicken broth, just enough to make the dough the consistency of pie dough.
    Roll out the dough to thickness of newspaper cut into inch square.
    Drop slowly, one at a time, into the hot chicken broth, stirring constantly.
