Berry-Sauced Poached Pears - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 small pears
3 c. water
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. fresh raspberries or frozen, thawed ones, rinsed
1/2 c. unsweetened pineapple juice
2 tsp. cornstarch
low calorie powdered sweetener to equal 3 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Peel and core pears, leaving the stem intact.
Cut a thin slice off the bottom of each pear so pears will stand upright. In a large saucepan combine water and lemon juice.
Bring to a boil
Add whole pears.
Return to a boil; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes or until pears are tender, turning once.
Transfer pears and cooking liquid to a mixing bowl.
Cover and chill for 3 to 24 hours.
