Mom Hall'S Date-Nut Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. milk
    4 c. Rice Krispies
    2 c. chopped dates
    1 c. nuts
    shredded coconut
Preparation
    Melt butter and sugar together in a pan; add dates and cook until boiling.
    Remove from heat.
    Beat eggs; add milk and salt. Beat egg mixture into hot date batter.
    Return to stove and boil for 2 minutes.
    Let cool.
    Stir in nuts, cereal and vanilla. Shape into balls and roll in coconut.
    These are very rich and wonderful!
