Ingredients

1 cup rice
8 cups milk
1/2 cup cornstarch
3/4 cup water
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
cinnamon as needed
Preparation

Cover and cook the rice at low heat in 1 1/2 cups of water until the water evaporates, about 15-20 minutes.
Put the milk and cooked rice in a sauce pan.
Boil and reduce heat to a simmer. Put the cornstarch in a bowl.
Slowly add 3/4 cup of water, stirring constantly to make a smooth paste.
Add it to the simmering milk slowly, stirring constantly.
Cook for 10 minutes while stirring.
Add the sugar and cook until it thickens, stirring constantly.
Serve in individual bowls and cook in the refrigerator.
Sprinkle with cinnamon.
