Cherry Squares - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm water
4 c. flour
2 sticks margarine
2/3 c. scalded milk, cooled
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Blend flour and margarine until it is like pie dough.
Add yeast mix, cooled milk and sugar.
Roll thin (1/2-inch) and put half of dough on cookie sheet with sides. Cover with fruit filling, then top with other half of dough.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until slightly browned (about 30 minutes).
When cool, frost and cut into squares.
Other fruits may be used equally well.
