Kentucky Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 tsp. lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Cream together butter with shortening.
    Add sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each egg is added.
    Sift flour in baking powder and salt.
    Add this alternately with milk.
    Add vanilla and lemon flavoring.
    Bake in a large tube pan that has been greased and floured.
    Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325\u00b0. When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
    Will freeze well.
