Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients.
Combine shortening and sugar. Add egg, slightly beaten, in thirds to mixture. Blend in molasses. Add dry ingredients.
Roll into 1-inch balls. Dip top in sugar.
Place 3-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 7 or 8 minutes or until firm or lightly browned.
