Ingredients

3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. water (cold)
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift flour, soda and salt.
Set aside.
Cream butter and sugars.
Blend in eggs.
Add water and vanilla.
Beat well.
Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Leave in refrigerator 2 hours. Work dough around mint (flat, solid, chocolate mints) and place on greased cookie sheets.
Press pecan half on top if desired.
Bake at 400\u00b0 about 10 minutes or until brown.
