Whole Wheat Gingerbread Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. softened butter
    1/3 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. whole wheat flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. ginger
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
    Add molasses and egg; blend well.
    Stir in all-purpose flour and wheat flour, baking soda, salt, ginger and cinnamon.
    Mix well.
    If necessary, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for easier handling.
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Roll out and cut on lightly floured surface.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 to 9 minutes.
    Cool 1 minute.
    Remove from cookie sheet and cool completely before decorating.
