Coconut Pecan Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
    2 eggs
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
    1/2 c. coconut
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    pinch of salt
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Cream the butter with the brown sugar.
    Add 1 c. flour and mix well.
    Press into greased 8 x 8 x 2 in. pan, spreading batter evenly into the corners.
    Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0F for 20 min.
    Meanwhile, beat the eggs until frothy, gradually adding the light brown sugar, and beating until thick.
    Add pecans and coconut which have been tossed with the remaining flour.
    Flavor with vanilla and salt.
    Mix well.
    Spread over baked crust and bake for 20 min. more in moderate oven until well browned. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar when cool and cut into 1 in. squares.
