Cheese Buds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 lb. butter or margarine, softened
    1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese (room temperature)
    salt and ground red pepper to taste
    pecan halves
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    In mixer, blend flour, butter, cheese and seasonings.
    Pinch off small, half dollar-sized pieces and place on a cookie sheet.
    Top with pecan halves.
    Bake for 15 minutes.
    Cool and eat.
