Miss Maten'S Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. water
    3 egg whites
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    pinch of salt
    vanilla flavoring (optional)
Preparation
    Boil the sugar, cornstarch and water.
    Make a thick paste. Let cool. Take the egg whites and whip until peaked. Add paste and beat until foamy. Gradually add the sugar and pinch of salt (vanilla flavoring is optional).
    Seal meringue to crust and bake at 325\u00b0 for approximately 25 minutes.
