Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 c. white syrup
2 sticks oleo
1 pt. cream or half and half
1 tsp. vanilla
pecans (if desired)
Preparation

Cook the sugar, syrup, oleo and cream to fairly soft ball stage (244\u00b0).
Add vanilla and pecans.
Cool and let harden slightly. Wrap pieces in waxed paper.
