Apple Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. dry bread cubes (4 slices)
    1 1/2 c. applesauce
    1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
    dash of ground nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 c. milk
    2 beaten eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    ground cinnamon
Preparation
    In a buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan, layer half the dry bread cubes.
    Combine applesauce, the 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Spread applesauce mixture over bread cubes.
    Layer remaining bread cubes atop.
    Dot with butter.
