Ham Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. ground (cooked or canned) ham
    4 oz. American cheese, grated
    1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
    1/4 c. finely chopped onion
    1 1/4 c. milk
    2 egg yolks, beaten
    2 c. soft bread crumbs
    2 stiffly beaten egg whites
    mushroom sauce
Preparation
    Combine ham, cheese, green pepper and onion.
    Stir in milk, egg yolks and bread crumbs.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Fill 6 greased 6 ounce custard cups.
    Bake in pan of hot water at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes or until set.
    Turn out on plates.
    Top with mushroom sauce.
    Serve hot.
    Makes 6 servings.
