Overnight Layered Green Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium head lettuce
1/2 c. chopped green onions
1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
1 c. celery, sliced thin
1 (8 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
2 c. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt
3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
1/2 lb. crisp bacon, crumbled
2 tomatoes, cut in wedges
Preparation

Shred lettuce into shallow serving dish. Top with onions, chestnuts, celery and peas in that order. Then add mayonnaise. Sprinkle on sugar, cheese, salt and garlic powder. Cover and chill in the refrigerator. Before serving, sprinkle on the eggs and crumbled bacon. Arrange tomatoes on top.
