Jumbo Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Boil raisins in water for 5 minutes; cool.
Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add vanilla and raisin mixture.
