Mom'S Homemade Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 qt. warm water
    1/2 c. sugar
    4 tsp. salt
    8 to 10 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water with 1 teaspoon sugar. Let stand several minutes until yeast puffs.
    In large bowl, pour 1 quart warm water, 1/2 cup sugar and salt; stir until dissolved. Add 4 cups of flour, stirring until mixed well.
    Add yeast mixture at this time and continue to add flour, a cup at a time, until the dough can be handled without being sticky.
    Sprinkle flour onto table surface and place dough on it.
    Continue to knead the dough until it becomes stiff.
    Approximately
    8 to 10 cups of flour will be used in this recipe.
