Ingredients

6 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
dash of salt
1 can evaporated milk (or pt. heavy cream)
2 Tbsp. vanilla
whole milk
Preparation

Beat the eggs until frothy.
Add sugar, flour, salt and evaporated milk.
Continue to beat until smooth and all sugar dissolved.
Add vanilla and pour into freezer can.
Add enough whole milk to fill freezer can to fill line.
Follow freezing directions of your particular freezer.
When frozen, remove dasher and re-pack, sealing can with foil or plastic wrap.
Cover can with alternate layers of ice and salt, and cover entire bucket with newspaper and cloths to insulate it well.
Allow to remain 1 to 4 hours.
Serve.
