Crisp Okra Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. cut okra
    salt and pepper to taste
    flour
    water
Preparation
    Place okra in pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix well, then put enough flour over okra to coat well all slices. Add enough cold water to cause okra to form batter thick enough to cling together. Drop by tablespoon into deep, sizzling hot grease. Turn once and cook until patty is golden brown on both sides.
