1 Tbsp. olive oil
3/4 c. dry vermouth
2 (8 oz.) bottles clam juice
1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
16 small cherrystone clams, scrubbed clean
1 lb. raw, medium shrimp, shelled and cleaned
1 lb. fresh, firm, fleshy fish: halibut or haddock
1/2 lb. sea scallops
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 c. Marinara sauce
1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
