Ellen'S Squash Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening or oil
    1/2 c. squash, cooked and mashed
    1/3 to 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2/3 c. milk
    1/3 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix shortening, squash and sugar. Sift together flour, cream of tartar and salt.
    Mix soda and milk. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and soda.
    Pour into greased muffin tins. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
