Crock-Pot Beef Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. lean stew beef, marinated 3 or more hours in a bottle of Italian dressing
2 cans tomato soup
2 bay leaves
5 to 6 onions (small enough to use whole or 2 to 3 onions, cut into quarters)
5 to 6 whole potatoes, peeled, or 2 to 3 potatoes, cut into quarters
6 to 7 small whole carrots or fewer, cut up
peppercorns and salt to taste

Preparation

Put all ingredients in crock-pot or heavy casserole with a tight lid and cook on low or at 275\u00b0 for 7 to 9 hours. Add peas and mushrooms the last hour if you wish. Liquid may be thickened with flour or cornstarch.
