Nut Meringues - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites
    1 lb. 10x sugar
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. broken pecans
Preparation
    Place all ingredients, except nuts, in mixer bowl and beat on high for 12 minutes or more.
    Add nuts.
    Drop by teaspoonful on a lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake in a slow oven (300\u00b0) until a delicate brown.
    Store in an airtight container.
