Basic Layer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    3 c. cake flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream the butter, Crisco and sugar until creamy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add dry ingredients, which have been sifted together, alternately with buttermilk.
    Bake in two 9-inch cake pans for 20 to 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
